Some people are calling this event “Baby Y2K”. Congress has approved the change to daylight-saving time in an effort to conserve electricity; that is, by increasing daylight-saving by one month.
The new daylight-saving time will be kick-started three weeks early this year, on March 11, and end a week later, on November 4.
This change has the possibility to throw off the internal clock of VCR’s, computer, and schedules that could affect multi-million dollar stock trades, hospitals, and electronic calendars such as Outlook, Act, etc.
